Taste of Chamblee Visual Identity
The Taste of Chamblee is an annual street festival held in the heart of Chamblee, Georgia. Anchored by the main stage, the festival offers live entertainment, some of the Southeast’s most talented visual artists, and the opportunity to taste the food of 20-30 local restaurants. The event is sponsored by Georgia Lions Lighthouse Foundation. The Foundation provides eyeglasses, eye surgeries and hearing aids to Georgians in financial need. Annually, the Lighthouse serves over 7,000 people, 500 of which are within DeKalb County alone. The Chamblee office sees 80 clients each month, making a marked impact in our immediate community.
I interned at the Georgia Lions Lighthouse Foundation in the summer of 2012. I was in charge of creating the Visual Identity for “Taste of Chamblee” food festival. I came up with several design proposals and the committee finally decided to go with the below design. The logo is also kept permanent for the event.
